California here I come!

Only three days until I leave for California...hope ya'll are ready, Uncle Dave and Aunt Jackie!

This past week Mom and I went to the driving range at Cross Creek on Highway 90. She doesn't get to see me hit much, so I was glad she came. We ended up having a good time and I hit the ball well.

Dad and I went to Quitman Country Club to play a round since they've built the new back nine on the course. We ran into Timothy, Ricky, Mr. Finlayson, and Jack McWilliams, who was my golf coach in high school. I hadn't seen him in a quite a while and it was good to see him again. Dad and I played 36 holes and we both played well. I shot even par and he broke 80.

I've been going a lot to Seminole Golf Course in Tallahassee. I've been trying to get some practice on a faster course in preparation for California. I feel I've gotten some good quality practice in, and hopefully, it will carry over to next week.

I took last Thursday off from golf so I could be with the family to celebrate my granddad's 85th birthday. My mom's whole family was there....even Uncle Dave flew in from California. We all had a good time, and later that afternoon Pap-pap, Uncle Dave, Mom, Brittany and I shot skeet. Once again Pap-pap shot the best and then second place was no surprise with Brittany's dead eye! On Sunday, I took Uncle Dave back to the airport, and he took one of the pieces of my luggage with him. That saved me the cost of an extra bag since I'm carrying golf clubs on the trip. The airlines charge for everything now!

I'm very excited about my trip! You won't be hearing from me again until I return, but when I do, be expecting lots of pictures and a long blog.

Until next time,

Glen
