A little speed bump...

Just wanted to give everyone all a heads up on what's happening.

My new site, golfingwithglen.com, has had a good bit of traffic so far. The last time I checked, there were 403 visits. The guest book is filling up and the response to the site has been great. I am continually adding new things and am still working the kinks out, but it has come a long way.

If you come upon any problems with the site or any suggestions, please send them to me. I want to make it as user friendly as I can.

It looks like I will be going to Orlando a little later than what my schedule says. The USGA has just put a new ruling into effect saying the grooves on the face of the clubs have to conform to certain measurements. Mine, as well as 99% of all touring professionals and amateurs, are no longer legal. I will have to purchase new clubs before January 1, 2010 or I will be unable to compete professionally. I personally feel this rule is unnecessary, however I must comply.

Now the really bad news. I have priced the new clubs along with the proper tweeking, bending, "pureing", and reshafting to come out right at $3,000. I think the club manufacturers are "gouging" a little bit. Due to the new requirement, I won't be competing in an effort to raise the money needed to purchase these new clubs before 2010.

I will continue to post weekly updates on how things are going. Please pass my new website to anyone who would be interested

Once again, thanks to everyone who has signed my guest book and visited my new site. Also, I posted another blog on Wednesday, so for those who were out of the office, just scroll past this blog and it is still available for your viewing.

Your friend,

Glen
