2009 in review

Hey Everyone,

I finally got everything ready to go for next season. I have ordered my new clubs and are having them custom made in Carlsbad, California. The only downside is that they will not be in until about mid-January. So I won't be competing until sometime after that. My projected start date is somewhere between January 18-20 in Orlando. There is nothing like breaking in a brand new set of clubs as soon as you get them!

I apologize for the lack of updates over the last few weeks, but they will come more often once I get started again. However, all this time off has brought some good news. I am now with Titleist and have a new sponsor, Edwin Watts Golf Shop. These two happenings have created a new spark in my career, and I am excited to go out and compete in the upcoming season for Titleist and Edwin Watts Golf!

Now, for my first year of competing as a professional in review. Below you will find a list of my total averages for the year as well as personal stats acquired along the way. These numbers were tracked and averaged by myself.

Total number of professional events - 12
Best finish - 2nd place, 69 (-3)
Average round score - 72.75 (+.3)
Average driving distance - 286 yards
Average fairway percentage - 64.28%
Average greens in regulation - 14/18 (77.77%)
Average putts per round - 29.50
Average birdies per round - 4.2
Average holes between eagles - 37

Top 10 moments for the year of 2009, in random order.
- Being able to wake up every morning and do what I love...golf.
- Making two hole-in-ones in California in the same round.
- Making a double eagle at St. James Bay with Brittany.
- Never placing higher than 12th in all my events. (Average 51 golfers)
- Playing golf in California on the world famous courses.
- Conducting my first tournament for Sheriff Hobbs and the Boys Ranch.
- Shooting my personal best 18 hole round of 63 (-9) at Quitman County Club.
- Shooting my personal and course 9 hole record of 29 (-7) at Palisades.
- Hitting a perfect first drive at Palisades to start my professional career.
- Being able to use my newly obtained profession to conduct my second tournament to benefit Natalie Eades and her family.

Although these personal accomplishments are important to me, I owe everyone of them to the good Lord. He gave me this talent and has blessed me in so many ways. One way He has blessed me is with each and every one of my supporters. The list is too long to type but you all know who I'm talking about. I have a great group backing me and I will remember each of you as I continue throughout my career.

For the year of 2010, I plan to take my golfing to the next level. I will increase my events played and try to qualify for higher status golf. To me, the future looks bright. I hope to soon be competing in televised events, also. I will continue to keep you updated on anything that happens with my career.

I want to thank you all again for everything you did for me last year. I humbly ask for your support and prayers as I continue on into 2010. I also ask for your prayers to continue for Natalie. She has no cancer cells as of now but is having a few complications and is postponing the transplant.

Please feel free to look around on www.golfingwithglen.com as I have updated some things. If you come across anything on my blogs, web page, or any other thing that you think could be improved, revised, or added please contact me and let me know. I would like for all my forms of communications to be as user friendly as possible.

Thanks again for everything!

God Bless,
Glen
