Hey everyone,
I have returned from my "business" trip to Orlando. I had to go and meet some people to make sure everything was in line and ready to go for this season. I made some good contacts and played a round while I was down there.
I went to Shingle Creek and started my usual warming up on the range and putting for a while. I then tee'd off on the first only to realize I was probably the only person playing in 21 degree weather and mist. So I hit one from each tee box. For those who do not quite understand that, there are multiple tee boxes on a hole for skill level. Shingle Creek had 3, ladies, men's, and pros. I played a ball from each one so I had three different shots from the tee and into the green.
I played well, hitting the ball very solid and straight. At the end of the round I went back to the putting green to work on what really matters.
I stayed with some of my sponsors in Orlando at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. A big thanks goes out to Anne Giger for the assistance with the hotels. I got to spend some good quality time with the "KP3 crew" in the evenings. I hope this friendship will remain strong as I continue on with my career.
I received a phone call from my sponsor, Edwin Watts Golf Shop, about my new clubs. The irons look like they should be here by the end of this week, but the wedges may take a little longer due to a massive amount of production and turn time. It is not a huge deal but I am ready to compete! I really appreciate the extra effort Edwin Watts Golf Shop puts into their services for me.
So, I will keep you updated and let you know as soon as I can about the time I will be receiving my new equipment.
Now for the important things. For many of you, the name Natalie Eades is very familiar, but for those who don't know who she is I will tell you. She is a very brave and strong little girl who is battling cancer. She is about to be 3 years old and has been battling cancer for more than a year now. She is in desperate need of your prayers, so I humbly ask that before you close my blog, please say a little prayer for Natalie. Prayer is powerful! Please remember her and the entire Eades family throughout the day.
If you would like more information on Natalie, please visit www.golfingwithglen.com and click on "Glen's Blog" and there is a link to a blog I saved for her. On that blog, you can also find directions to sign up to read what the family writes and updates about her condition.
Thank you all for the support I have received for the new year! I cannot wait to get competing again!
Your friend,
Glen
