Below is the article from the Monticello News about the Sheriffs' Charity Golf Tournament I conducted.
The Second Annual Sheriffs’ Charity Golf Tournament was once again, a great success. This time, the tournament raised over $20,000 with contributions still coming in. Some of the charities benefiting from this event are the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch, American Cancer Society (Relay for Life), and the Jefferson County Senior Citizen Center.
The format was a best ball/scramble with four golfers on each team. The event attracted golfers from all over and many locals as well. With morning and afternoon tee times, the tournament had over one hundred golfers show up in support of the event.
“I was extremely pleased with our tournament. We have a great group of local supporters which always make things easier. I want to personally thank Sheriff David Hobbs and Cricket Edwards for letting me assist them in this event once again. Being able to help your hometown is something I enjoy being a apart of.” – Tournament Director and Organizer Glen Bishop
